Established in 2020, the Fourth Plain Community Advisory Committee (CAC) signifies a vital step towards ensuring community integration and representation within our organizational structure. More than just an advisory body, the CAC has been thoughtfully designed to empower local residents by offering them an active platform in shaping our initiatives and programs.

As a part of the broader Fourth Plain Coalition, created in 2017, the CAC taps into a well-established network of local individuals and groups, building upon the collective knowledge and experience to address the unique needs and aspirations of the Fourth Plain community. This Committee is a reflection of our commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, a testament to the value we place on listening to and learning from the residents we serve.

Beyond providing direct access to Fourth Plain Forward's programming, the CAC involves residents in meaningful engagement, decision-making, and capacity-building activities. Committee members have received extensive training across an array of place-based development activities and programs. This not only enhances their understanding of community development practices but also equips them with skills that can translate into personal and professional growth opportunities.

In addition, the CAC has been pivotal in informing and guiding various initiatives led by Fourth Plain Forward, including grant programs and community development projects.
