KeyBank Foundation Awards $20,000 Grant to Support Small Businesses on Fourth Plain Blvd

Sagrado Corazon IV is located at the Vancouver Market Center on Fourth Plain Blvd. in central Vancouver

Fourth Plain Forward is excited to announce that we’ve been awarded a generous $20,000 grant from the KeyBank Foundation! This funding will provide crucial support to small business owners along the Fourth Plain Blvd corridor.

One of the key initiatives this grant will fund is website development for local businesses. Our first recipient is Sagrado Corazon IV, a Western wear retailer located at the Vancouver Market Center. Sagrado Corazon, owned by Ezequias, opened in April 2023 and offers a variety of authentic leather boots for men, women, and children, as well as leather belts, cowboy hats, and other Western attire imported from Mexico. Ezequias has been working hard to build a strong local customer base, and with the help of Ovidio Francisco-Juan and his team at Porque Creative, a BIPOC-owned local web development firm, Sagrado Corazon will soon have its own e-commerce website. This will allow customers from across the country to shop online. Porque Creative will also train Ezequias on how to update and maintain the website to ensure long-term success.

In addition to website development, the grant will support a micro-grant program to help small restaurants along the corridor replace or upgrade their equipment. More details on how to apply for these micro-grants will be shared in next month’s newsletter.

We are deeply grateful to the KeyBank Foundation for their commitment to uplifting small businesses and ensuring our community continues to thrive.

Stay tuned for more updates!
