Climate Adaptation Taskforce: Leading Resilience in the Fourth Plain Community

The Climate Adaptation Taskforce is a dedicated group of 10 community leaders driving climate adaptation efforts with a focus on health-related climate resilience in the Fourth Plain neighborhood. Our mission is to help residents better understand and respond to the health risks posed by climate change and to advocate for the changes needed to protect our community.

Our work focuses on three key areas:

  1. Health-Focused Education: We identify the immediate health risks linked to climate change and create educational materials to help the community prepare for these challenges.

  2. Local Policy Advocacy: We actively advocate for local policy changes that address the specific needs of our community, sharing data and insights to help shape discussions and solutions.

  3. Long-Term Advocacy: We build strong, lasting relationships with policymakers and climate action groups to ensure our advocacy efforts continue into the future.

The Taskforce meets monthly, inviting local partners to share insights on environmental issues and the health risks affecting Fourth Plain. By fostering open dialogue and collaboration, we aim to spark a community-driven movement toward a more resilient and sustainable future.

Together, we can build a healthier, safer future for everyone on Fourth Plain. Stay tuned for more updates on our efforts!
