Supporting Small Businesses: A Visit to Yecenia’s Hidden Gem Salon

At Fourth Plain Forward, our mission is to support and empower small businesses in Clark County, helping them grow and thrive through resources, education, and connections. As part of our outreach efforts, Johana Pavas Teran had the opportunity to visit Yecenia, the owner of a unique and dynamic business that seamlessly offers a full range of salon services under one roof.

Her business, Hidden Gem Salon, offers a comprehensive range of services, including haircuts, barber services, manicures, pedicures, hair coloring, highlights, and waxing. What truly sets Yecenia and her team apart is their commitment to inclusivity—welcoming clients from all backgrounds and languages, while leveraging technology to enhance customer experience. Their expertise spans multiple disciplines, ensuring high-quality services tailored to their clients’ diverse needs.

Beyond their dedication to their craft, Yecenia and her team are eager to learn, grow, and strengthen their business. In January, they actively participated in our Branding Workshop, where they gained valuable insights into positioning their business for success. Their openness to education and improvement reflects the resilience and determination we aim to foster through Fourth Plain Forward’s programs.

This visit was not only an opportunity to connect but also to highlight the power of continuous learning in business growth. Soon, we’ll be sharing a video showcasing Yecenia’s story and her thriving business—stay tuned!
